Rollers Shutters use a high tech battery powered motor to wind up the shutter curtain, and to lower it down. There are two types of motors on the market, depending on the size of the shutter is dependant as to what motor is used.

 

The remote used is in fact the battery supply to the motor and must be placed in the wall plate to function the shutter. A wireless alternative is available, which can control up to 9 different shutters individually, through walls and from a fair distance away.
